Significant Funding Cuts in House Bill

The 2026 funding bill proposed by House Republicans includes significant spending cuts to several NTEU-represented agencies, including the IRS, Bureau of Fiscal Service, Securities and Exchange Commission and Federal Election Commission.

The bill also endorses the president’s proposed federal pay freeze and includes several harmful government-wide provisions, including one that would limit Thrift Savings Plan investment options by eliminating those that use environmental, social, and governance criteria in making investment decisions.
